El pasado viernes 15 de agosto, en San Cristóbal de las Casas, se llevó a cabo el taller “Documentar para defender: violaciones graves a los derechos humanos”, con el objetivo de brindar herramientas para fortalecer la labor de documentación de casos de violaciones a los derechos humanos en Chiapas.
En este espacio participaron: Centro Minerva Bello, Vicaría de San Cristóbal, Colectiva Cereza, Cuerpo Diplomático de Paz, Ligalab A.C., Melel Xojobal, Colectiva Feminista Mar Violeta, organizaciones campesinas, la Red por los Derechos de las Infancias y Adolescencias en Chiapas, así como la organización Chiapas Pueblos Originarios Unidos y en Movimiento.
Agradecemos a la Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas y al Centro de Estudios para la Construcción de Ciudadanía y la Seguridad por el apoyo brindado para la realización de este taller en sus instalaciones.
Este espacio reafirma nuestro compromiso de fortalecer las capacidades colectivas para la defensa de los derechos humanos y la búsqueda de verdad, justicia y no repetición en Chiapas.
Last Friday, August 15th, in San Cristóbal de las Casas, the workshop «Documenting to Defend: Grave Human Rights Violations» was held. The objective was to provide tools to strengthen the documentation of human rights violations in Chiapas.
The following organizations participated in this event: Centro Minerva Bello, Vicariate of San Cristóbal, Colectiva Cereza, Diplomatic Peace Corps, Ligalab A.C., Melel Xojobal, Colectiva Feminista Mar Violeta, peasant organizations, the Network for the Rights of Children and Adolescents in Chiapas, as well as the organization Chiapas Pueblos Originarios Unidos y en Movimiento.
We thank the Autonomous University of Chiapas and the Center for Studies for the Construction of Citizenship and Security for their support in holding this workshop at their facilities.
This event reaffirms our commitment to strengthening collective capacities for the defense of human rights and the pursuit of truth, justice, and non-repetition in Chiapas.
